Marriage: Henrius Green to Maria Sherin. 10 AUG 1855. Emlafad & Kilmorgan RC Parish, County Sligo, Ireland
They lived in Behy from 1855-189x however, unable to determine what happened to most of the family. Mary (Sheerin) Green and children Henry, Michael & William cam to the U.S. between 1866-1894, however, other than baptisms from Diocese: Elphin, Parish: Taunagh (Riverstown), County Sligo, Ireland, there really are not other records that have given me any hope of finding information of my ancestry.
There are some family notes that Henry Green (husband of Mary Sheerin) was son of a Henry Green and Mary Cannon, but I have not been successful in confirming that.
Anyone have any thoughts on the Green's from Behy?

Birth of Mary Green in 1875. Father down as Andrew, not Henry. A mistake perhaps?
Birth of Patrick in 1878:
Henry is in Griffiths Valuation for 1858. He had a labourer’s cottage (plot 10b). The Valuation Revision books in the Valuation Office in Dublin should tell you when he vacated that property.

Attached FilesHenry_and_Mary_Green_0.pdf (7.69 MB)
Here is a small portion of what I've been able to obtain (attached). All of which I've confirmed as correct.
I am planning a trip to Ireland in September 2023, and was planning to go to the Taunagh parish to see if perhaps Henry Green was burried there, as I cannot find evidence that he travelled with Mary to the U.S.

The files you have are at the limit of what I have found . I checked for local burial grounds , of which there are very many and people tended to bury their relatives in family plots which were not always local to where they lived.

I have included a map of cemeteries in the vicinity of Riverstown , I hope you have a lovely trip in September and even if you do not locate a burial place, it will be lovely to walk where your ancestors did and see the beautiful landscape which was once their home. If I find anything further , I will update. Kind regards eileen.

Where is the most likely RC Parish cemetery for those living in Behy (https://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/ire/sligo/photos/tombstones/markers…) during the time period of 1855-1900?
I am also interested in find Mass Rocks in the Taunagh RC Parish (https://www.findamassrock.com/sligo1)

Usually it was the local parish cemetery but in cases where the family may have come from another parish and have a family plot in a local cemetery then burials would take place there. Given the number of cemeteries in the Riverstown area and adjacent areas it is difficult to know where the family grave is but I would start locally and work my way outwards. You could write to the parish of the Church of the Sacred Heart, Fannybrook, Riverstown, Co. Sligo, F52VY42 https://www.riverstownparish.com and inquire if they know or recollect the family or could assist in any way. Sorry I can not be more helpful.
