I am just posting this to get the family name on record here. My grandfather, Thomas Doran, was born near Drangan in 1890 and his sister was the last of the family name to live in the village. She was Ellen Doran and she died in 1977. Another sister married a Casey and relatives still live in the area. My grandfather had two aunts who emigrated to USA in the 1870's and also an uncle who died by way of a railway accident there when still young. We know nothing more of the emigrants.

Don't know if this helps, but my 2nd cousin 2x removed, Edmund Casey, married a Josephine "Josie" Doran (b.Sept 10, 1898) back in 1920. The kast I know is that they were still alive back in 1978 and their son Patrick was operating the family farm

Thanks for that ... yes you are correct about Ned Casey marrying Josie Doran. Patrick Casey farms in the area and his land includes the original Doran acres at Corbally. You could private message me perhaps if that is allowed on this forum. I am only seeing your post today.
