Hi,
I am researching my husband's family and he descends from Patrick Monaghan (born Tipperary abt 1823) to James Monaghan and Ellen Wallace. A brother to your John. He also married in Guernsey and had 3 sons before being killed in a drunken fight in 1854. His son Patrick (b. 1854 Guernsey) was a sailor and eventually settled in New Zealand.
I look forward to hearing from you.
