My mother's grandmother, Margaret Quinlan, emigrated with her father, Anthony, and siblings Bridget, Josephine (Johanna), and Anthony Jr. in May 1870. They arrived in New York from Queenstown 8 Jun 1870 and were in Chicago, Illinois a week later for the 1870 US census. Margaret's older brother, Thomas, and sister, Mary, may have left for Chicago earlier.
The father, Anthony, was born about 1815 and the children between 1845 and 1856. His wife was Johanna Coffey, who did not travel with the family and is presumed to have died before the Spring of 1870.
I'd like to identify the parents of Anthony Quinlan and Johanna Coffey and the dates of relevant births, deaths, and marriages. I would also be very interested in connecting with other descendants.
