Seeking info on William Dooling and his family. I have William baptised in April 1821 - the son of William Dooling and Bridget Glavin.
He was transported to Tasmania (arriving 2-1-1849), and according to his records his mother was Bridget and he had the following siblings: Patrick, Michael, Mary, Bridget and Margaret. His father was not listed, so I presume he was dead by 1848/49. Any info on the marriage of William & Bridget Glavin and the births/baptisms of their children would be appreciated. Thanks. Joy.

I found the following baptism records on the paid site Roots Ireland for three of their children:
William Dooling, 5 May 1821, residence "Caurouthoot....", RC parish Ballyporeen, parents - William Dooling & Bridget Glavin, sponsors - Patrick Norris & Margaret Clancy
Ellena Dooling (she is transcribed twice, also as Helen Dowling), 9 Jun 1831, RC parish Ballylooby, parents - William Dooling (Dowling) & Bridget Glavin, sponsors - Denis Shannahan & Ellena Dooling
Michael Dooling, 10 Feb 1834, RC parish Ballylooby, parents - William Dooling & Bridget Glavin, sponsors - William Dooling & Bridget Sulivan
The marriage records for the RC parish of Ballyporeen (Templetenny) began in 1817, so maybe they were married prior to that as I could not locate a marriage record

many thanks for the info. Over time - especially here in Australia - the name for this particular family has become corrupted to Doolin, Doolan and eventually ended up as Dowling. Once again, thanks. Joy.
