Shilo,
If you go to www.rootsireland.ie you will find two records for Catherine mc carthy, father John mc carthy, mother mary ryan.
one record in the parish of Templemore 1834 - 1836
one record in the parish of Kilcommon 1834 - 1836
both parishes are in Tipperary (North Riding)
I haven't had time to look for the other couple but as you get to know the site I'm sure you will find them too.

Shilo,
I looked again at rootsireland. Here are the two records for Catherine. I don't know which one pertains to your family.

I cant seem to find any records for Johanna. That isn't to say it doesn't exist. It may have been missed in the transcribing.
I ran a check with just the parents names to see how many children were born to this couple. However I found that the combination names of John mccarthy and Mary Ryan was really common, and there are many different families of same parentage. In Co Tipperary, I found 24 records for children born to couples of this name from 1830 to 1906.
If however you manage to narrow down which part of Tipperary they canme from that would make it easier to pinpoint your family. If the Catherine Mc Carthy from Hollyford, parish of Kilcommon is your ancestor, I found sibling records..
Patrick baptised 1830
Winnifred Baptised 1832
Michael baptised 1834
Catherine baptised 1836
Ellen baptised 1837
Judy baptised 1840 (Could this be Johanna)
Do any of these names crop up in your family tree. Most of that generation used the same naming patterns. First boy called after paternal grandfather. First gjirl called after paternal grandmother etc....
Hope this helps,

Thank you Anne for your time and effort unfortunately we have been researching 35+ years still no results so I appreciate this information. we are stuck on Catherine McCarthy M James County both from Tipperary Thurles area we think ? however have a marriage certificate ?? 21/1/1860 for Catherine Carty m James Maher married RC Adelaide SAust. then James Joseph County child born 1861 Chilwell Geelong name change ?? back Maragaret County sister of James m Patrick Buckley Geelong Margaret's parents Anastasia/Antice Manton Michael County James parents are same christian names but surnames changed to match above so according to mum who's 94 and very good memory said nana told her they came from Tipperary , to Adelaide , Brighton, then Geelong and the name was County O Maher ?? According to James County's will they had land, houses, in Geelong and he was a proprietor of livery stables . We found a death certificate for Anastasia/Antice County widow 17/10/1868 aged 80 who was living with Mary Carty family in Stradavoher, Thurles parish also Thomas County died 28/9/1868 b 1838 age 30 bachelor unmarried also in same household.
