Description: St Bridget’s Church site and Graveyard is situated on the west side of Thurles, and to the west of the railway line and to the north side of Garyvicleheen road which is now called Abby road. It is situated outside the walled town (TN041-042) and when visited by the Ordnance Survey in 1840 no trace of any church was visible. In the south wall of the graveyard there is a large stone pier into  which are inserted several architectural fragments and carved stone, most of which are of recent date. One of the fragments consist of an Ogee-headed window with hollowed spandrels which formerly belonged to a church building. Other figures consist of a Cat, a Lion, and a human figure. There are no visible remains of any church in the grave yard to day.
