Hickey/Morrissey/Quinn family

Hi,

Currently residing in Ballynahow, Ballycahill, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, today, are two Morrissey families. Interestingly the home of one family is known as "Fort Edward". (1893 marraige)

I have spoken to a neighbour & friend of the Morrissey families here in Tipperary, who will asertain shortly if one or both families can throw some light on Ellen, whom you claim remained here in Ireland.

It looks like we are cousins,my great grandmother was Ellen Morrissey who was from Fort Edward House Ballynahow  Ballycahill Thurles Co Tipperary.My greatgranfarther was James TOBIN who's second wife was Ellen,they had two children one was Kathleen who married my grandfather,peter Vaughan,they in turn shad 8 children.Please confirm if you receive this E-mail

Yes I think we are cousins! What year was Ellen born? She must have been an adult by the time the rest of the family left for the US. What is Fort Edward House?

1. FoThis is not adding up.Edward Morrissey was married to a Mary Burke .Ellen married my greatgranfarther James Tobin in 1893 the same year that her farther died .Ellen also had a sister Stasia who was a married to M Heffernan who was a member of Parliament and also played international rugby for Ireland.
