Hello, looking for info on my ancestor john clement callanan, he emigrated to america in 1850, date of birth june 4 ,1832. his fathers name was patrick callanan his mothers name was catherine shealds, want to know who he left behind? siblings? any info at all would be appreciated, thank you

I have searched through www.rootsireland.ie and www.irishgenealogy.ie for a baptismal record for JOhn. I found a number of records in the correct timeframe, and with a father named Patrick Callinan, however the mothers name of Catherine Shealds does not register at all. How sure are you that this was her name?
