Thank you for your help with this. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong with the search but wnen I have been on roots ireland link and put in Patrick with father John and 1831 it does not find a match. Also is it possible to narrow using wyse the middle name or is this unlikely to come up in the baptismal record?

Any further advice will be very welcome but in the meantime I will look at the x2 William 1823 records,
