Seeking information on ancestors/descendants of Thomas Hamilton, son of Alexander Hamilton. Thomas was born in Killens Townland, Tyrone, 1777, died in Brackey, Tyrone, 21 Feb. 1862. He married Lilly McKelvey, 1 Nov. 1807 in Cappagh Parish, Tyrone. Children who moved to America, about 1842-43 were:
-Elizabeth, born about 1806 (emigrated with husband Robert Wier and children)
-John, born 17 May 1808 (emigrated with wife Mary Fair and children)
-Alexander, born May 1813 in Mountfield (emigrated with wife Anna Beattie and children) (he is my gg-grandfather).
Elizabeth, John and Alexander first went Coshocton County, Ohio, where Wier and Boyd cousins had already settled. Alexander eventually settled in Portland, Oregon.
Thomas and Lilly also had a son James, who remained in Ireland. By his first wife, possibly Margrett Torrance, Thomas had a son Claude, born 1802-1803, who emigrated in 1872, and daughter Catherine, baptised 12 Aug. 1792.
