G'day from Perth. Western Australia.
I have "hit the brick wall" in my research on two of my grand-aunts [Kelly] and one of my grand-uncles [Mallon]. This is what I have found so far : Bridget Kelly was born on 22.04.1866 and Alice Kelly on 02.07.1877 to William and Bridget [nee Quinn] Kelly of Drummond. Moy. in the RC parish of Clonfeacle. I can find no further verifiable information on Bridget Kelly. I was able to trace Alice Kelly in the 1901 Census of Ireland still living in Drummond with other family members and after that I have hit the brick wall. My research has not been helped by how 'common' the first and family names were.
My granduncle, Francis Mallon, was born on 22.12.1890 to Henry and Alice [nee Donnelly] Mallon of Gorestown. Moy. in the RC parish of Clonfeacle. I have traced him in both the 1901 and 1911 Census of Ireland still living in Gorestown with his mother, Alice, but have found nothing verifiable after that.
All suggestions, ideas, revelations to find further information on these relatives gratefully received. Thanks !
27 Nov 2022 - Update on Francis Mallon: - pleased to report that he has been traced - he passed in a Care Home in Dublin in 1968 at the age of 77 having spent the last 10 years of his life in residence there - he is buried in Deans Grange Cemetery in Dublin.

Damo51,
I noted 3 siblings to Bridget & Alice in the post 1864 statutory records:
Thomas 17.10.1864
Michael 10.11.1868
Elizabeth 26.4.1870
Here’s Elizabeth’s birth:
William Kelly death 1887:
Informant was his son Denis. Denis’s marriage in 1901:
1911 census:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Tyrone/Moy/Drummond/862963/
Probate abstract:
Kelly Denis of Drummond Moy county Tyrone farmer died 31 July 1937 Administration (d.b.n.) Belfast 19 September to Terence Kelly farmer. Unadministered effects Nil. Real Estate £431 5s. Former Grant Belfast 8 October 1937.
Also for this family:
Administration of the Estate of William Kelly late of Drummond Dungannon County Tyrone Labourer who died 29 March 1911 granted at Armagh to Denis Kelly Farmer.
Is this Alice’s marriage in 1904?
Can’t help with Bridget. I don’t see a marriage or early death for her.
Francis Mallon is likewise hard to trace. I see there was another Francis Mallon in Gorestown (son of Joseph) who married Annie Finn in 1912 and then died in Dublin in 1919, aged 44.
Mallon, Francis (233) of Gorestown Moy county Tyrone farmer died 9 May 1919 at Mater Hospital Dublin Ireland Administration Londonderry 20 October to Michael Mallon farmer. Effects £48.
There are some trees on Ancestry which have your Francis as travelling from Cobh to Quebec on 31st July 1925 on the SS Melita. However the passenger list for that Francis has his place of birth as Granard which is in Co. Longford, so I’d say that’s probably the wrong Francis.
There’s a likely death for Alice Mallon on the GRONI site. Death 18.3.1922 aged 70, registered Dungannon. You’ll have to pay to view, but the informant might be Francis. That could tell you where he was then.

Grateful Thanks, Elwyn, for all your background research on the Kelly family from Drummond - much appreciated ! Re: Bridget Kelly - I couldn't find any marriage record or early death record either - other death records didn't tally age-wise either. Re: Alice Kelly - yes, that is a possible marriage record [which I did find] but no follow-up records anywhere of children, deaths, emigration, etc. - I investigated the family of her Bridesmaid/Witness and most of them moved to England - that is a possible avenue to follow when I get to Ireland/UK. I have had no luck with finding the Best Man/Witness. It amazes me how George & Alice seemingly "disappeared into thin air" !
Re: Francis Mallon - yes, that was his mother, Alice, who passed in 1922 in Gorestown and he was present at death with the Gorestown address. [There is another Mallon family next door to Alice's family but they are not related. There were 6 Francis Mallons born in Granard - highly likely that one of them is your reference.]
Thanks, MJ, for your further insights and reference.
At this stage I just hope that some descendants see this request on this website and can provide further information ... but I shall also keep searching. Thanks again.D.
