I am looking for my family roots in Billary Co Tyrone.
Their names were George(broad George) Montgomery. Rebecca Nixon. I have made contact with one of the decendants of their oldest son George in Belfast.
Here is their old farmstead and photo of them. Iam planning a trip in April and wondering the address of this old farmstead and decendants of any of their other 9 kids.
My grandmother was Catherine Montgomery.
Her sister Rebecca Jane Montgomery may of been last one to live there.

If the property in Billary your are interested in finding is the one occupied by Richard Montgomery in Griffiths Valuation (plot 5A) it?s down a couple of lanes off the Willmount Rd, a few miles from Drumquin. The road that the farm is on doesn?t have a name on the Griffiths modern maps, though it probably does have one. You may need an old townland map (photocopy from the local studies section in Omagh library) as well as a good modern local map to find the farm with certainty. At 54 acres it was quite substantial so I expect it?s still there.

HI I thought I replied to this but don't see it . First thank you for the responces. I wonder if Richard could be a grandson of one of Georges brother. Durmquin is listed as where he was from.
I will be arriving in that area around the 21 of this month to look around. I will keep this information and at least try and find it.. See if they could be decendants of my great grandfather.
Also would anyone have a name of any bed and breakfast in the area?
Also my grandfather name was William J Elliott. He was born in Antirm. I know very little about him. But his year of birth. is 1883 and died in 1959 in the US.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
Mary
