Believe my gggrandfather to be a native of County Tyrone from Beragh. His name was James O'Neill and he married Bridget Gorman there around 1830. My ggrandmother Mary O'neill was born there abt. 1832. Any knowledge or connection to other O'Neills would be valuable to me. Thank you Susan DiBarba

The 1901 census for Beragh shows an Edward O'Neill aged 70 and his family. Possibly he was a brother to your great-grandmother Mary.

Thank you Roger. I don't believe that this Edward O'Neil would be a brother to Mary Ann as James, Bridget and Mary Ann immigrated to the US about 1832. However he may be a cousin if James O'Neill had any brothers he left behind. There is that possibility. Will take a look at the census. Best regards, Susan
