I came across the following record

Name:John Leonard

Event Type:Marriage

Spouse's Name:Cathrin Eivers

Parish:Delvin

Diocese:Meath

County:Westmeath

First Witness:William Erwin

Second Witness:Anne Eivers

Anyone with addl info on either of these two families - Eivers / leonard?

Or suggestions where to pursue next?

  • You could check rootsireland.ie - you can take out a day subscription if you like (or check Ancestry/Find My Past if you have an account) to see the names of any children baptised to his couple. From there you could also check rootsireland and if any children married after 1864 irishgenealogy.ie (for free) for marriage records for the children, daughters in particular who would have married in their home parish. Their children baptisms might also be available too.

    The 1901 and 1911 Census are searchable HERE and the earlier Tithes and Griffith's at these links
