Hoping someone can tell me where someone residing and having died in the townland of Crookedwood would have been buried. Would burial records be available?

You don't say what religion your ancestor was but if you look at the link attached it should give an indication of what graveyards are in the area. Just open it and search for Taghmon and will provide the info:

Hello Judith,
Unfortunately there does not appear to be any online resources for the immediate cemetery nearby at Taughmon. Looking at recent obituaries for people from Crookedwood they all appear to be buried at the site indicated. A link to the church is provided with a streetview link and google map direction. In addition there was a historic burial ground/church a short distance away in the townland of Toberaquill (routemap from google provided below)
