     Thank you so very much. I'm digging to find out which date. I think Frank's father was probably a John since Frank had two sons named John. One died as a baby; the other came to the U.S. in 1882 and was my gggf. Every generation since has had Johns and Franks.

Biddy is a nickname for Bridget. Other names are Bride, Bridie and Delia.

   Roger, Thank you once again for your help. Col sent me the info on Frank Cullen's parents (above). Frank's father John married a Biddy. And I stumbled on John's baptismal record in the Avoca parish in 1810. His father was John and his mother was Brigetta, Latin for Bridgid, I think. I may have the wrong John Cullen. I usually try to confirm each source before I believe it. Seems singular to me to have a mother and grandmother by the same name, but Frank's father and gf both were named John, so I guess it's possible.
