My great great grandaunt(if my research is correct) Margaret Donoghue of Dromartin married Martin(Maurice)Sheehy in 1861 in the parish of Causeway..they lived in Dromartin which is near to Ballyduff...they had at least four children, John(1862), Mary(1866), Anna(1868) and Jeremiah(1872). To date, I have not been able to find this family or any members of this family in the 1901 census...I expect that some or all of them either died or emigrated. Any advice as to how to determine their fate would be great ly appreciated.

Hi Ed,
There are church records from about 1830 available for that area. You could try contacting the parish priest for the area to see if they have records for your ancestors.
You could also check the land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) or the later Griffith's Valuation (1848-64) for more information. Griffith's is freely available at www.askaboutireland.com
To find where they might have gone is more difficult. The best you can do now, is to wait and see if someone in the local community knows what happened to the family.
