I am looking for ANY information on Mary (Kelly) Leehy who died on 3/22/1871, according to civil death records I found online.  The parish/district listed on the record is Kiltormer.  Her address is listed as Kill, and the informant was John Leehy who I believe was her son.  While I am not sure that she is my ancestor, having narrowed it down by information from family and region in Ireland, she is the only one coming up in my search. She was married to Thomas Leehy who also died around 1870, but family information is not definite on this and I'm unable to find any record.

They had a son Patrick Leehy who married Johanna Kavanaugh, and my family believes they were married in Ballyferriter on 3/5/1842.  I can find no record of this, but it appears that records were not being kept until a few years later.

My family has previously visited Ireland and done some research to find information on children of Thomas and Mary Leehy, with reasonable success.  But unfortunately getting information on Thomas and Mary themselves has proven difficult.  that has been years ago though, and now with technology maybe its possible.

I will be visiting Ireland in the next couple of weeks, and will be in the Galway area for a number of days.  I have decided to take up the search if possible to find the final resting places of Thomas and Mary Leehy.  To say that this is important to my family would be understating it.  If anyone reading the board can help me with information or other resources online I would be very thankful.

The only Kill in Kerry is not in the area of Ballyferriter. THe closest record I could find was for Marriage of PATRICK LEEHY of NR and JOHANNA CAVAN of NR on 5 February 1822 (see link above.)
