Hello,
I have the following generations of Savage ancestors from Tralee, County Kerry.
Richard Savage (b. 1808 Tralee, Kerry) married Mary Sullivan (b. 1810 Ireland - not sure if it was Tralee). They immigrated to nothern New York State, USA and Canada in 1832. Mary Sullivan's parents were Thomas Sullivan (b. 1790 Ireland) and Alice Barry (b. 1790 Ireland).
Richard Savage (b. 1784 Tralee, Kerry) married Catharine Callanan (b. 1785 Tralee, Kerry)
Maurice Savage (b. 1760 Tralee, Kerry) married Margaret Neenan (b. 1760 Tralee, Kerry)
Patrick Savage (b. 1740 Co. Kerry) married Julia (b. 1740 Co. Kerry)
Thanks,
Karen

May I ask where in Northern New York the family settled? I have been doing a lot of research on Irish families in the Adirondacks. They often link together. My O'Connors and Joyces have connections with Callahans, Carneys (Kearnys), Murphys, Mahoneys, Cronins, Sheehys, Flynns, Laheys, and others by marriage and locality.
Let me know if they settled in or around the Adirondacks.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your message. They moved about a bit, but settled in St. Lawrence County, Franklin County, and the adjoining part of Quebec, Canada. No one in the Adirondacks that I know of.
Best,
Karen

Hi,I grew up just outside of Tralee and now reside in Chicago, there was a Ken Savage of Tralee who played Gaelic Football with Kerry and there was a carpet/upholstery store owned by Savage and Wrenn which has closed in recent years,my family are all still back home and can probably dig up more info.
