Catherine (Kit) Daly married Pat Browne sometime in the early 1900s. They had two sons and two daughters. The two daughters became nurses and moved to England. At least one of the two sons continued in the family's butcher shop, which I believe is still in operation today.
I would like to make contact with the Browne family, as we share the same great-great grandfather, Daniel Daly (1820-1869). Their great-grandfather would also be Daniel Daly (28 May 1868- unknown), from Drumolton.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Brendan!
Thank you so much for your reply! I appreciate it very much!
Do you know if these Brownes are related to Pat, or are they just Brownes living in the area? I want to make sure I prepare my opening correctly before I call. :)
Have a great day!

Hello Helen,
I have access to Kerry newspaper archives 1905 - 2013
There must be some articles on your family.

Thanks again for your time, Brendan.
I've tried searching in the Kerry Eye for information, and there are plenty of Dalys to be found. Just can't figure out which ones belong to me. :). As I said, I know Kit Daly married into the Browne family, and I was told the number of children and occupations by a former neighbor. But Kit had nine brothers and sisters, so I'm assuming their SHOULD be some Dalys left but I don't know any names or occupations. And you know what they say about assume. LOL
I haven't tried searching for the Brownes in the papers, since I only know Kit and Pat's first names. I wouldn't know if it was the correct group, unless it happened to mention butchers. Kit was born ~1902, so she is most definitely gone by now. I'd assume that Pat was born then or possibly even earlier.
If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear them! My uncle is planning a trip to the ould sod, and I know he's anxious to connect with any cousins I can come up with.
Now to convince him that he needs to bring me along to be his tour guide. :)
