My great great grandfather Patrick Heenan came from the Kilbehenny area originally but he moved to Wales sometime in the 1860s. I've found census records which show that there were Heenans living in Knocknascrow in 1901 and 1911. But I would dearly love to know if there are any of their descendants still around or anyone who might know something of them. In your photo gallery I did find a photo with two women of Heenan surname in 1938 . Any info on who these two ladies are?

Thank you so much Amanda. I am sorry to be so slow in replying but for some reason your message went into my spam folder and it was only by accident that I found it.
Please pass on my thanks to your contact Moss for his information, my dad will be delighted to know that there is still a connection. Anything you can pass on would be more than well received.....

Thank you Helena for that info. Wonderful to hear from you and to know there are still families in the area. I wonder if there is some remote connection between your husbands family and my dads.. It is so frustrating not to know more.
