My great grandmother Julia Egan came to New Zealand with her sister Ellen in 1879. They joined two brothers already there - Jeremiah and Patrick. The family came from the area of Killeen near Currans which is not far from Castlemaine.
I will be in Ireland 19-26th September and spending some of that time in Kerry.
