I feel like I am getting closer to finding a actual location in Clare. I recently believe I found the death record of Margaret (McNamara) McMahon who died shortly after the family arrived in Quebec. On the death record the ship Sylvanus was recorded. I have to spend some time exploring this. I wrote about my experience so if you would like to have a read here is the link.

And here is my family in the 1852 census in Sherbrooke, Quebec. They were in Ayton, Normanby, Grey Co., Ontario by 1854 -

Hi:
i saw your query and I thought that I would let you know that I will try to search the parish register here in Tulla and see if there is anything that may be of help.
Best of luck on your research. I'm sure that you will find something soon. You are getting closer!
