Prendergast/Hyland

I looked at birth index records and could not find a record for a Mary Josephine Prendergast. I did locate two Mary Prendergast records in the Clonmel registration district which are shown below. You may want to write to the GRO www.groireland.ie and get a copy of one or both records. You have to fill out their form and provide the registration district, year of registration and the volume and page number. tell them the parents names are James and Ellen. If you get the correct record, it will tell you what townland the family lived in which should help in further research.

Hello Narelle,

I went to www.rootsireland.ie and put in your information.  I went to the county genealogy centre(on left side of screen) and found Mary prendergast baptised 1876 in the parish of Cahir.  Father James Prendergast, mother Ellen.

It would be worth your time inputting all her siblings to see if they too were baptised in Cahir.  This is a small town about 9 miles from Clonmel.

Thanks for all your help much appreicated. 

I found Parish's for siblings-John and James but couldn't find Bridget B.1868 and William B.1870.           Unfortunately I have to pay to view this information on Roots Ireland.

Still searching.
