Hello,
Looking for information on my 4th great grandparents Timothy Ryan and Catherine Piggott. I don't have any information on Timothy and Catherine other than I think they lived in Cashel.
One of their children was my 3rd great grandfather John Ryan who came to Newcastle NSW some time in the 1850's. He was born in Tipperary abt 1835. The first record of John in Australia is his marriage to Margaret Brennan on the 23rd January 1864.
I know that Timothy and Catherine also had a daughter named Margaret Therese Ryan born abt 1839 in Tipperary. Margaret also came to Australia at some point but I'm not sure when.
Other children of Timothy and Catherine may have been William, Mary Ann and Catherine.
Would love to hear from anyone that may have any information.
Kindest Regards
Korrine

Korine I noted an Ellen Pickett born in Tipperary in 1833 possibly near Clonmel and Ellen Piggott in 1845. Piggotts rented land in Tankardstown Bansha in 1850 Griffith Valuation from Rev. John Massey. Not a common name in Tipperary so it is possible easier to trace than Ryan. Ryan is the most popular Name in Tipperary and nicknames are used to differeniate. Hi Seamus, Thank you for your message regarding Catherine Piggott, I will certainly look into the details you gave me to see if there are any further leads. My family had quite a few generations of John Ryan, Timothy Ryand and Patrick Ryan so it's a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack, even with the records here in Australia. Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. Kindest RegardsKorrine
