I'm looking for relatives of Thomas O'Connor, who owned a grocery store at 2 Market St. Listowell, until about the early 1980's. I made brief contact, by email, with a woman who claimed to be Mary O'Connor of Market St. Listowel. Her email stated that she was 56 years old and was the daughter of Thomas O'Connor. Thomas would have been my 2nd cousin once removed. I received one email from her, offering to help discover if we were related, but repeated attempts have gotten no response. I'm worried that the original email was a hoax. Does anyone know of this Mary O'Connor? She may have a sister. There is a Jeremiah O'Connor, who owns a pharmacy at 7 Market St, but he is supposedly not related.
Thanks,
Kyle

Dear Kyle, I'm sorry to hear that contact ended with Mary O' Connor. This can happen sometimes, people become ill or as once happened to me the person I was writing to, died.
There are O'Connors listed in Market St. Listowel in 1911

Have you got this link and are they yours?
This is the current record from the Valuation Office for Market St.

Note there is a Nora O'Connor listed.
Check with telephone directories to see if there is a telephone registered at this address. This may help you, I hope.
