Greetings from America's Heartlands (Nebraska)!

I am in hopes of finding family connections regarding my David MCCARTHY circa 1813 who married Margaret (Shannon) SHANAHAN 28 Feb 1843 Killeedy Catholic parish Co of Limerick Ireland.  They had at least seven children born to this union; Eugene (possibly Owen) McCARTHY Bef. 02 Feb 1845, Catherine McCARTHY Bef. 10 Jan 1847, Edward McCARTHY Bef. 21 Jan 1848, Charles Edward McCARTHY, Snr. Bef. 13 Oct 1850 (my great-grandfather), John McCARTHY Bef. 07 Jun 1852, Catherine McCARTHY Bef. 05 Mar 1854 and Margaret McCARTHY Bef. 22 May 1857.

Charles Edward MCCARTHY married Johanna "Elizabeth" EDWARDS supposedly of Cork.  She is the daughter of Daniel EDWARDS and Johanna FOLEY.  ~~~ Nothing further on her parents.

Charles Edward McCARTHY died 18 Dec 1903 328 E. 33rd St., New York City, Manhatten Borough New York.

Johanna "Elizabeth" EDWARDS died 12 May 1923 1510 Hackensack Plank Rd., North Bergen, Hudson Co., New Jersey whilst living with her daughter, Margaret and husband, John DALY.

The dates of David and Margaret's children are Church Baptism Records of Parish/District: Mahoonagh / Castlemahon, County: Co. Limerick, Denomination: Roman Catholic
