Unfortunately, church records for Rath/Corofin Catholic parish do not begin until 1819 so if Michael was born there there will be no record of it parish records.

However, you may be able to find his marriage record or his children's birth records if they were baptised in the parish.Most Catholic records are held locally so you may need to write to the local parish priest for possible assistance.

It may also be an idea to contact the Local Studies Department of Clare County Library. They have an excellent county collection available and may be able to advise you on what records may be available. Here is their webpage:

You could also check for record of the family in the land records pertaining to Ireland in the 19th century. There are two:
