My ancestor Robert Beatty (became McBeatty in Australia) born c 1849 Kingston, Co Dublin and immigrated to Australia c. 1868, marrying Mary Ward in 1877 in Victoria.
According to surviving letters his siblings Sophy (presumably Sophia) Lilly, Alphy (presumably Alfred) and Willy (William) reamined in Ireland and were scattered,
On Robert's death certificate his parents were Robert Beatty and Fanny Hilliard. I have a copy of a marriage registration for Robert Beatty and Maria Hilliard in 1846 at Desertly, Londonderry.
I have located two baptismal records for
1. Sophia Fanny Beatty - 1860 at Bromley, parish Delgany - Church of Ireland (from IFHF) her mother recorded as Anna Maria
2. Alfred Henry Beatty - 1865 at Kilpedder, parish Delgany - Church of Ireland (from IFHF) his mother recorded as Hannah
Then two death registrations
1. Robert Beatty - April quarter 1892, registered at Rathdrum (Ancestry)
2, Jane Sophia Beatty -Oct quarter 1928 registered at Rathdown ( familysearch)
I cannot verify a death registration for Fanny/Maria/Hannah Beatty and according to the letters she died well before 1893.
Are there any cemetery records available for Delgany and surround areas?
I will be in Delgany between 3-6 Oct 2013.

Hi Suzanne,
Thank you very much for your message and for sharing this information. You have done a great jopb on your family history! I hope that someone with local information makes a connection with you and helsp you with your research.
In the meantime, with regards to cemetery records, the Irish Times shows a list of graveyards in Wicklow and where there are transcriptions available:
It may also be an idea to contact Wicklow Local Studies Department to see if they can advise you on any transcription projects that are currently ongoing:

Also, you could try:

I hope this is helpful. Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.
Kind regards,
