Dear Mrs. Wiggs:
Many thanks agaiin for your Hayes query! I will of course have a look for you in the Tulla registers, but essentially my response to you is the same one that I gave for the O'Laughlan query. I think that you will find the Clare Library website very useful and I would encourage you to really go through that. There is an awful lot of transcription work in it and you will hopefully find some more information about your Clare roots.
I will let you know what I come up with in relation to the Hayes & the O'Laughlan queries.
Kind regards,
Jane

I, too, believe that my Hayes family is from Clare. My 2 greatgrandfather, Dennis came from Clare, according to his obituary. I believe @ 1849 he came to the states. I am not sure when and where he landed but he eventually settled in West Chester, Pa., just outside of Philadelphia. His wife's name was Mary Ellen. I believe that her maiden name was Gleason.

Hello. My name is Lois and I live in Western Australia. Margaret Hayes daughter of Mary O'Brien and John Hayes is my Great Grandmother and Margaret married James Thomas in Busselton Western Australia July 1857 after arriving a few months earlier that same year. Busselton is in the south west of Western Australia. I am in touch with a cousin who is also researching the Hayes/Thomas family.
I only just came across the website today...
Mrs Wiggs are you also related to Margaret?
I look forward to your reply
