Hi,
Thank you very much for your message.
There seems to be a bit of confusion over where in Kerry William came from-Listowel and Killarney are both parishes in different parts of Kerry. You can see this here:
http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/civilparish/index.cfm?fuseaction=GetMap&CityCounty=Kerry
Luckily, Church records from both of these parishes are available online at http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/ so hopefully you should be able to find some record of his birth there.
Another useful website is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what Catholic records are available in specific parishes. For Listowel follow this link:
For Killarney: http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/rcparishmaps/index.cfm?fuseaction=showidrecords&CityCounty=Kerry&parish=Killarney&churchid=675
You could also check for record of the family in the land records pertaining to Ireland in the 19th century. There are two:
The Tithe Applotment Books (1823-1838) found at http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/home.jsp
and Griffith?s Valuation (1848-1864) found at http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/
Some other websites that you may find useful are:
