Drangah near Thurlas

Hello Garvan,

I think the place you are looking for is called Drangan in the heart of Tipperary.  If this is not the place then I would suggest that you go to the 1901 census and browse it.  go to Co. tipperary and look at the townslands around Thurles.  there may be a place that better matches your word (though I believer Drangan is the place referred to).

Here is the census for 1901. There are over 300 Meaghers in the county but as Anne said there is 10 in Drangan. See if they ring any bells, if there is any family name that repeats itself
