With John O'Connell's help have found baptisms of Hellen & Maria (Mary) McCarthy daughters
of Michael & Eliza (Reidy) McCarthy in Kilcornan/Stonehall in 1825. Would love to find marriage of
Michael & Eliza. Apparently in 1825 they were Catholic as 2 girls baptised there. We believe during
later 1820's they changed to Protestant. They had 3 more children Thomas 1826, Cath1829 & Ellen1832
according to the "Aliquis" shipping list when they left Cork Harbour in 1838 for Sydney, Australia.
Michael's father John McCarthy & wife Ellen (Warn, Ward or even Walsh), Eliza's parents Thomas
Reidy & wife Ellen nothing more on shipping list.
Help or any suggestions very welcome.

McCarthy/Reidy
Thanks John, our family were long gone from the area by late 1838, & we have
no idea of their siblings or parents names to be sure as John McCarthy with wife's name Ellen no surname legible on shipping list to help, & much the same with Thomas Reidy & wife's name only Ellen no maiden name.
Found in the Parish of Kilcornan the Bridget McCarthy you were suggesting but 1850 a bit late for our
family they were in Sydney Australia in 1839. Maybe she was some relation.
Still puzzled by the Hellen in the Baptisms, as the eldest girl in our family was Mary age 13yrs on shipping list. Someone suggested that perhaps the family could only bring 4 children to Australia as
Bounty passengers, also suggested perhaps she was to be married, in Ireland. Going by ages on
passenger list Eliza (Reidy) McCarthy must have been married by 14 yrs old.

the reason i am recomending that you add the other parishes to your list.
the marriage were performed in the brides Parish, example Kilcornan parish,
the groom could be from another Parish.
