Hi there I am looking for any info on Patrick McAtavey, he was born about 1829, he joined Royal artillery and fought in Crimean war. He also served in Malta and India. he retired from army and settled in Plumstead London, where he died in 1907. His fathers name was Hugh.
His first wife was Margaret Hamilton, but am not sure where she is from as yet. she is my GG grandmother.
I am willing to research record offices in South London, National Archives at Kew and the Royal Artillery Museum is near where I live, if anyone requires.
I would also like photos/pictures or any info of what Monaghan was like around the time he was born, Hopefully soon I will be able to visit for myself.
Thanks for any help, it is much appreciated.
