Looking for any information on James Lynch b.1843 and Mary Murphy b. 1844 in County Cork.
James & Mary are my 2 x grandparents.
I have a birth certificate of their daughter Lucy Lynch ( my great grandmother ) that says that James was 29years and born in Ireland in 1872. The certificate says James & Mary married in 1860 in Cork, Ireland. Mary's maiden name was Murphy, she was 28 in 1872 and born in Cork also.
I would love any information at all on my ancestors.
Regards,
Di.

Hi Di
There are 3 baptism records of James Lynch in Cork 1843 on www.rootsireland.ie/
I thought it might be the same 1 3 times but went through all the parishes and found that it was 3 different records - 1 from Imogeela RC, 1 Cloyne RC and 1 Kilshanning C of I
Of course with a name like Mary Murphy there were 23 records of baptism/births in Cork in 1844!
I couldn't find an exact marriage record but when I searched for Mary Murphy + spouse Lynch (no first name in Cork 1860 there were 2 records
You need to purchase credit to view the records on rootsireland. The records SHOULD have father's name and the parish (but often don't have both!)

Hello Di
Stephen Lynch is my name from Australia.
I have recently dabbled in the history of my family and it seems it goes back to a James Lynch and Mary Murphy here in Australia.
Could it possibly be the same people you are trying to trace. Would you know if they emigrated to Australia.
While I dont yet have details on their births or deaths they seems to sort of tie in with the ages of your comments.
They had children here in Australia in 1866..1879..and 1881.
What do you think ?
We could be related, the best email address for me is swlynch@hotmail.com
I await your reply.
Cheers
Steve
