Thomas Mulqueen of Dooras born 1841

My great great grandfather was Thomas Mulqueen, born 1831 in Doorus. (He changed his name to Mulquin - my speculation so it was pronouced correctly in the US.) The location of his birth town was in his Obituary of 1917. He died near Effingham Illinois, US. The town and county of birth was listed in his obituary as "Duras, County Claire" I believe the spelling of Duras was phonetic. On his death certificate, his father is listed as Michael Mulqueen. No mother's name is listed. Thomas had a sister Catherine Mulqueen born about 1852. Catherine placed two ads in the Boston Pilot in 1875 and 1876 looking for her brother Thomas Mulqueen a brick layer/mason who lived initially in New York City then moved to Effingham, Illinois. (The surname is also listed as Mulqueeney in one advertisement.) I have not found any marriage certificate or death certificate for Catherine to date, which would confirm/identify the name of her father or mother.  I am looking for other siblings in the US but have not identified any further.  However, I have found a Michael Mulqueen born 1870 in Dooras, parents Michael Mulqueen and Catherine Lynch who immigrated to Bendigo Victoria in about 1890. He married Elizabeth Fizelle in Bendigo on 26 Apr 1891. I am assuming this Michael Mulqueen was a cousin to my gggreat grandfather. We most likely share a 4 or 5 great grandfather from Dooras. (I have seen the spelling as Dooras and Doorus). I found the marriage announcement in the Bendigo newspaper that notes Michael was from Dooras, Cty Clare. Mulqueens still live in Bendigo Victoria that are descendants of this Michael.  I believe one or two other siblings came to Australia too.  Based on documents and information I have found in the 1901 and 1911 census, there were Mulqueens living in Doorus at that time.  In addition, I found a very old headstone in Killuran on the Cty Clare Library site that lists a headstone of Michael Mulqueen and his wife Johanna. I am speculating that it could possibly be the parents of my relative Thomas - his father and mother. I am interested in finding the Mulqueens that remain in the Doorus area.
