I descend from John and Mary O'Boyle Ruddy through their daughter Sarah. Sarah married Anthony McHale, son of Michael and Winifred O'Donnell McHale in 1867 in St. Peter's Cathedral in Scranton, PA. Mary McHale married John Roache, also of Kilfian, in Scranton. There are also Weir's who are intermarried with the Ruddy's who owned a large property nearr the Pine Brook Mine.
I began transcribing records from Kilfian several years ago. I have been able to use a computer to read the pages that were illegible on microfilm. I have a free site at www.kilfiancrosskin.com which may be of help.
