I have a Robert Ryan (born abt 1831) who married Ellen Butler (born abt 1829). They married in Devon in 1855. They were both born in Tipperary.
Robert Ryan father was: Anthony Ryan who was a Master Shoemaker.
If anyone can help/or advise me on how to find more information on exactly where they were born, I would be grateful.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I had a look on rootsireland but there doesn?t seem to be a baptism record for Robert. This could mean that he was born in a parish and at a time that predates the parish records. You could have a look at this site (or familysearch.org) to see how many (if any) children were born to a father named Anthony in Ireland or more specifically in Tipperary.
Also available online is Slater?s Directory 1846 that you could check for shoemakers/cobblers:
