I am researching the Cassidy family resident in Batley, Yokshire, England. The earliest known ancestor is John Cassidy born about 1835 in Tulla Clare, Co. Clare. I am interested to know if there are any records of him and his family. He appears on the 1871 census in Batley . I suspect that he was one of many emigrees during the potato famine.
