I assume you have the 1901 and 1911 census records for Richard Sr. and his unmarried children Thomas and Catherine. 

I located th 1853 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Tacumshin civil parish.

It appears that Denis Rossiter lived in Churchtown townland.

There were 3 Cardiff entries. I assume one of them was the father of Richard Sr. Possibly Stephen in Tacumshin.

Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie has very few parishes for Co. Wexford and Tacumshin is not included.

The Tithe listings have 11 Cardiffs including an 1833 listing for a Stephen Cardiff in Tacumshin townland.

I appreciate what your search have uncovered, its fascinating and I would love to come to Tacushane one day. my greatgrandfather Richard jr and his brother Will settled and died in South Wales.
