Along with there family John born 1841,Eliza born 1843, Maryann born 1843,
My only information is that they came from somewhere in County Monaghan.
I have letters written from familey in Ireland from Janes brother and sister Adam and Mary Jane Wylie no address?
And a letter from a James and Sarah Mollan Castleshain Post Office RackWallace County Monaghan.
I believe Sarah to be Jane Wylies sister.

Rackwallace/Rockwallace townland is not very big - just 20 households in 1901, and no Mollans. Could the surname be Mohan by any chance? There?s a James Mohan listed in Griffiths Valuation, farming in Rackwallace in 1860. He had plot 5a which was a farmhouse, outbuildings and 25 acres.
There were still Mohan?s farming there in 1901:

I also notice a Moan family (which is obviously the same name):

Both the above families were RC.
Rockwallace is in the civil registration district for Monaghan town. There?s a Sarah Moan death registered there, Jan ? Mar 1879 Vol 2, page 219. Est year of birth 1830.
Nearest Mollen families I could find in 1901 in that general area were:

The above 3 families were all Presbyterian. Do you know what denomination yours were?
