Looking to move further forward with the search for my Sweeney and Connell or O'Connell ancestors from Tipperary
I have found the civil marriage record for Bernard and Catherine (Kate) Sweeney who are my great, great grandparents and they were married on 23/11/1871 in Ballingarry. Bernard was shown as a shopkeeper from Moyne Parish and he was born around 1849. His father's name was Michael Sweeney and he was shown as a labourer. Catherine's maiden name was Connell and she was from Ballingarry parish and was a famers daughter. Her fathers name was William Connell.
Their childrens name were
Johanna Sweeney baptised 2/2/1875 at Ballingarry
Mary Sweeney Baptised 3/1/1873 at Templetouhy
Anastasia Baptised 11/5/1878 at Templetouhy
Edmund Sweeney Baptised 7/8/1877 at Templetouhy
Grateful if anyone could supply any further information on Bernard Sweeney, his father Michael Sweeney, William Connell and his daughter Catherine. Appreciate any help that can be given.

Terry:
I located a 1901 census record for a William Connell and family in Ballingarry parish. Not sure if this is your family. Also located a 1911 census record also which indicates that William died between 1901 and 1911.

Thank you very much for your help Roger. I am not sure if it is the correct family but will have to try to find evidence linking the family to these records. Best Regards Terry

Previously hit a birck wall but I have located a further record which may relate to our possible William Connell from the irish will details. He apparently died on the 26th August 1915 (I have no date of birth). It states that he was a farmer and his widow was Mary Connell who was also shown as a farmer. it also mentions Garranacool, Ballingarry, Thurles, Co Tpperary. It also mentions PR Admon 1920 and Grant 4 Feb 1920 although I don't know what this means. It would be great if this could somehow be kinked to his possible daughter Catherine Connell.

Found a civil birth record for Edmund but he is shown as Edmund Osweeney date of birth 2/8/1877 in Moyne Co Tipperary. It also how his father is Bernard Osweeney and his occupation as postmaster. His occupation tallies with family stories confirming that he had the post office in Moyne at sometime. Edmunds mother is shown as Catherine Connell notes ***KATE.
