In Search of info on Mortimer O'Sullivan  Born 1818   Native of Kenmore County Kerry Ireland    Died 12/7/1876   And his wife Kate  Native of Dublin Ireland  Born 1838  Died 8/3/1878

Also Timothy O'Sullivan  Born 1797  Died 11/28/1851

All three of these people (plus many more) are buried in St Patrick's Cemetary #1 in New Orleans, LA  USA

    If you go to www.irishgenealogy.ie you will find the baptism record for Mortimer Sullivan of Park, Kenmare, Co Kerry in 1819. (Mortimer is quite an unusual name)

    There are a few possible entries for Timothy but I can't verify which is the correct record. 1796, 1798 .

    As I don't have a birth name for Mary I can't perform a search for her.  I've tried searching for a marrige record on both sites www.irishgenealogy.ie  and www.rootsireland.ie  but to no avail.

    Sorry about the mixup with names.  I just ran a search looking for Mortimer and Kate but couldn't find a record of a marriage.

  • Mortimer and Kate are buried in my families (the branighan's) plot in new orleans, la. I believe kate was my grandfather's aunt and under her name says born in Dublin Ireland. Any information you may have would be appreciated and I have a picture of the grave marker if you want to email me at michaelcarter@gulfbank.com.
