Hi
I am looking for information on my great great grandfather Thomas Brislane born 1838 in Liscarroll, County Cork, Ireland and married Mary Riley born 1843.
Parents of Thomas were Jeremiah Brislane and Margaret Guinee/Guinnee.
Parents or Mary are William Riley and Margaret Murphy.
Jeremiah's father was Jeremiah and his father was Thomas???
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Good morning Kerrie,
Just had a look at the land records and found out that Jeremiah Brislane lived in the next village to Liscarroll called Kilbrin in the townland of Coolnahilla in 1852.
At the time there were 6 Brislane families lving in Kilbrin
In 1875=1876 Jeremiah was recorded as a landholder in Liscarroll according to Guys Almanac of Cork.
In 1911 there was a Jeremiah Brislane born around 1889 living in the townland of Altamira Liscarroll with his sister Margaret and brother Michael
Unfortunately there are no records available for this family, in general church records for this area start around 1812 but some records are lost and some were not recorded in the first place.
