Hello,
I am looking for historical information about my ancestors from Ireland.
Specifically I am searching for Luke Dunn father of Patrick Dunn (b1796 d1890 in Lima, NY USA) mother unknown.
Patrick Dunn married Mary Phalen b1806 and had at least 2 known children:
Sarah Dunn b1842 arrived in the United States in 1863 and lived in Lima, New York
Patrick Joesph Dunn b1850 arrived in the US in 1866 and lived in Lima, New York
Thank you for any help you can give
Bryan Dunn

Hi Brian:
Many thanks for your query to Ireland Reaching Out.
The Clare Library website is a great resource tool for any genealogical research for County Clare. If you go online and have a look here at the Griffith's Valuation, you will see that there are several Dunn(e) families and this might be a good place to start in order to eliminate some of those names.http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/genealogy/griffiths/griffithd3…;
In addition, the Tithe Applotment Books may be of some use to you:
That link is: http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/genealogy/tithe_applot/name_in…;
You will note that there were 4 Dunns in the Kilrush area in the Tithe Applotment Books. If you need further information from there or would like some assistance, please email me at: tulla@irelandxo.com. My great-grandmother was a Dunn too!
Kind regards,
Jane.
