Hi Jane I'm also looking for a Patrick Halloran from Tulla He was convicted at Tulla on the 21st of JUne 1849 tried for stealing 2 cows from a Mr Broughan He was a widower aged 30 at the time of his conviction he had 3 children (Conduct Record). On his convict records on arrival in Tasmania (Rodney 3) these children are recorded as having died. .Noted that children had died since his conviction in his (Convict indent)
Sisters Judy Peggy Mary and Nancy then a comment that at least Nancy but probably all four had emigrated to America. as the last comment was written underneath the 4 sisters
Patrick went onto to marry a young girl from Loughrea Bridget Martin in Tasmania and have a large and well documented pioneering family in North Western Tasmania.
Any assistance in tracking Patrick in Tulla would be appreciated
Peter

Peter,
One of us has the wrong Patrick Halloran (married to Bridget Quinn), or Patrick never reconnected with his children or grandchildren who also came to Australia, albeit as free immigrants. Could be a new branch of the tree?
My confirmed research stops at John Patrick Halloran & Margaret Cunningham, the parents of my Patrick research request. Patrick Halloran (unconfirmed Grandfather of MY Patrick research request) & Bridget Quinn are connections i found from other chat rooms - but cannot confirm data integrity, hence my query here for Patrick O'Halloran dob March 24 1843 (married to Joanna Clancy), not the Grandfather Patrick - more looking for confirmation of connection or redirection to correct Grandfather. Clear as mud, sorry for confusion.
Needs further research.
Dominic
