Mcatav(e)y Family from Monaghan -Clontibret/Castleblaney areas

Hi there, If anyone can help I will be most grateful

My ggg-grandfather Patrick was born in this area around 1829 his father's name is Hugh, (mother's name unknown

He joined the Royal Artillery and fought in Crimea war and survivd. He moved to Woolwich, London and died in 1907

I would like info on his birth, and/or his parents if at all possible.

Also any photos of the area or info of the villaes and what they were like around that time, I am curious of how my ancestors lived.

I am hoping to come to Ireland one day soon so I can see for myself.
