My 3x great grandfather was baptised Established Church in this Parish little after 1800; he maybe Palatine descendant. With wife & children, emigrated to Australia in 1840. Eldest daughter on Australian document said born Kilcornan, Limerick, c.1820 from her age.

Ancestry.com shows only 1 person with his name in 1825 Tithe in this Parish was in Mornane. I have copy of Mornane Tithe page from NAI website showing his name. No landlord etc shown. I have Griffiths Valuation (1850?) pages for Mornane; his name not shown, nor nearby as far as I can tell. Reps Wm Cox Esq the owner for most of the townland. Looks like Cox died in 1830s, & Encumbered Estate sales in 1850 & 1853 at least. I don't know if any records of Cox's estate or Irish Lands Commission survive / would help.

I notice John O'Connell message re McCarthy / Reidy on 28 Oct 2013 said "look up the tithe Applotment Book,

the tithe Defaulters book, is not on line, hopefully it will come on line in the next few years, it can be viewed in person at the archive office in dublin. it shows the year when houses or land passed from father to son or next of kin".

Another descendant going to Ireland Nov this year. So can anyone please confirm John's statement is true even for people who didn't default? Or if know of any records of estate of Wm Cox surviving? Being baptised Established Church, my 3x great grandfather mightn't be a defaulter.

Thank you in anticipation,

Ron
