My grandparents Patrick O'Malley (marriage certificate shows him as Pat Malley) and Honoria King were moved to Batterstown from Killasser Co Mayo by the government. My uncle Martin O'Malley died in the family home in Batterstown and another uncle, Edward O'Malley died in the Mental Hospital in Mullingar. I cannot find any trace of the family at all and wonder if anyone could help or knew of the family.

RE: O'Malley
Gerri, do you have any dates? When did they marry, when were they born?

Thanks Gerri, I will look in to this but unfortunately records for after 1908 are not available yet might be able to find the birth of the children and maybe a marriage of one or more of the children, will see what I can do

Found a Pat O'Malley and wife Hanora in the 1911 census living in Cuillonaghtan (Callow, Mayo) with their children Martin and Michael and Pats mother Bridget age 75.The other children must have been born after 1911 strange enough I can not locate a baptism or birth record for Michael or Martin, Michael was born 1908/1909 and Martin in 1909/1910
More then likely the birth records for after 1911 are not public yet

Hi Anne-Marie
I have a copy of the 1911 showing the family in Cuillonaghtan plus a record of Pat & Honoria's wedding on 15 February 1908. i have also tracked down the birth dates of Michael, Martin, Patrick, Francis and Catherine (my mum). Cannot track down Edward, Mary Geraldine or Elizabeth. I can find nothing about them in Meath, other than the death certificate of Edward aged 32 in the Mental Hospital Mullingar. My grandparents must be buried somewhere in Meath. Poor Edward probably got buried in the hospital grounds with only a number for recognition.
Best wishes,
Gerri
